Pay a Little Extra for the Inspection 

A mold inspection will add a little to the cost of your home inspection.  Is it worthwhile?  Many Irvine homes for sale, like this El Camino area condo, have been vacant for a number of months, with no one home to maintain them. A mold inspection helps you as a home buyer understand the current condition of the home and if there is any mold that may not be visible.

Use a Professional Home Inspector

Jack Clausen, of JLC Inspections, uses Trace to alert for the presence of any one of 28 families of mold spore.  In this case, Trace alerted to several areas including under the powder room sink and under the kitchen sink.  These Irvine home buyers are glad to know that it looks like these areas can be cleaned up fairly easily - a huge relief!
